Kay Terrell, LPC-S

Kay Terrell is a licensed professional counselor with over two decades of experience walking alongside clients in their journeys of transformation. Trained in family systems, trauma-focused care, hypnosis, and attachment theory, Kay brings a deeply integrative approach to psychotherapy that honors the complexity of the human experience — mind, body, and spirit.

Kay’s work blends traditional clinical training with expanded modalities, including Reiki, mindfulness-based practices, and spiritual exploration. She is known for her warm, peaceful presence and her ability to create a grounded, supportive space in which clients can access their own inner wisdom. Whether working with trauma, relational wounds, or life transitions, Kay helps individuals uncover the root causes of anxiety, depression, or disconnection — and invites them into a process of self-understanding and healing.

Alongside her Psychotherapy Practice at Integrative Psychiatry-Austin, Kay also practices Ketamine Assisted Psychotherapy at Blossom Ketamine. Kay is one of the most experienced Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP) therapists in Austin. She integrates her training in hypnosis, attachment work, and non-ordinary states of consciousness while centered in presence and compassion. She also facilitates group work focused on emotional resilience, lifestyle shifts, and relationship growth.

Kay’s guiding belief is that each person already holds within them the capacity for profound healing. Her role is to walk alongside, gently guiding and supporting that unfolding with presence, curiosity, and compassion.

Core Services:

• Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP)

• Hypnotherapy for trauma and healing

• Individual psychotherapy for adults (ages 19–65)

• Attachment-focused therapy and mindfulness-based interventions

• Energy-informed therapy (including Reiki and spiritual work)

• Group facilitation for relational health and lifestyle transformation

A Note on Orientation:

Kay’s therapeutic orientation is rooted in the belief that healing unfolds when we are truly seen, safely held, and gently invited inward. Her approach is relational, spiritually attuned, and grounded in both science and soul. She honors the innate wisdom of the body and the psyche, often integrating subtle energy work, hypnosis, and altered states of consciousness as portals for deep restoration.

Kay sees each client as a whole and unique being — not a diagnosis to manage, but a life to honor. She works with compassion, patience, and humility, believing that even the most painful experiences carry the seeds of transformation when met with presence and care. Whether supporting trauma recovery, guiding psychedelic integration, or working with long-standing patterns, Kay offers a sacred, steady space for healing to emerge.
