Sara Klopp, PA-C
Nationally board-certified Physician Assistant Sara Klopp brings over two decades of medical experience and a grounded, heart-centered approach to mental health care. Her journey into integrative psychiatry began in rural medicine, where she served as the primary — and often only — medical resource for her community. In those early years, Sara became the de facto psychiatrist, internist, counselor, and support system for people navigating a wide spectrum of physical and emotional challenges.
It was through this depth of front-line work that Sara developed a keen understanding of the interplay between the body, mind, and spirit. Witnessing firsthand that medication alone was never the full answer, she expanded her training into lifestyle medicine, nutritional counseling, and hormone-related care — eventually working with a thyroid specialty clinic and working alongside holistic health practitioners. These experiences deepened her commitment to whole-person healing and cultivated her capacity to meet people with compassion, flexibility, and respect for their inner wisdom.
At Integrative Psychiatry-Austin, Sara serves as a vital bridge between conventional and integrative models of mental health. She offers continuity of care for adults, adolescents, and children — often being the first point of contact for families. Sara embodies a collaborative philosophy that honors the “village” it takes to support someone’s healing. She works closely with therapists, primary care providers, specialists, and families to ensure coordinated, meaningful care.
Sara brings a particular interest in supporting women through the layered challenges of hormonal shifts, mood instability, and identity transitions. She is also passionate about serving underserved populations and regularly volunteers in community-based wellness initiatives.
Whether guiding a person through their first mental health evaluation or supporting them through long-term healing, Sara brings steadiness, warmth, and the deep listening that only comes from years of walking alongside suffering and recovery.
