Please familiarize yourself with the policies here, as well as in the packet you receive prior to your first appointment.

Appointment Length

For your first appointment, Dr. Javed sets aside 90 minutes. During this appointment, he will gather your history and discuss your personal goals for treatment. In the case of children and adolescents, parents will also be involved. At the end of your appointment a treatment plan will be designed and implemented.

Follow up appointments can take 15 minutes, 25 minutes, 50 minutes or 60 minutes depending on your needs. Typically 50 minute appointments will involve therapy, family involvement or working on carry-over material from the last session. Conversation and therapeutic work will be continued in the next appointment, if the content, complexity or distress levels prevent a timely wrap up. Followups will be arranged at the end of our meeting.
