Integrative & Holistic Psychiatry
Our clinic is both grounded in medical science and traditional wisdom entrusted to us by our ancestors
Integrative Psychiatry Austin blends various philosophies, treatment modalities, and systems of diagnosis into an individualized treatment plan for each patient. Leaning heavily on both conventional allopathic treatment models and traditional Oriental, mind-body, and herbal medicine, he helps each patient find a balance that works best for their individual goals.
“Every dilemma has multiple contributing elements, and the process of attempting to understand these elements leads us towards healing.”
We believe in tailoring evidence-based practices to the need of individuals and that blind application of science can be as harmful as overreliance on alternative traditions. Our focus is towards the individual getting better – with the term “better” or “recovery” being defined by the people we serve.
When designing a treatment plan, we incorporate a person’s belief systems, scientific evidence, and the wisdom of various cultures and healing traditions. We encourage ourselves and the people we work with to be aware of the power all of us possess to make choices about our health and what we want out of life.
We realize that becoming healthy is often a marathon and not a short sprint. Our role is to see people through this process as an encouraging guide.
Our Holistic Process
The journey from treatment to growth can be influenced by multiple potential treatment plans. At Integrative Psychiatry Austin, we offer a truly integrated approach. The modalities that can help a person accomplish their treatment goals are conveniently here, under one roof. This saves time and helps communication among practitioners. We offer three service models, depending on your immediate needs and long-term health plan.
